Our Mission

We lead people to live and love like Jesus

Lead Pastor

Lead Pastor

Elijah Friedeman is the founding pastor of Foundry Church. He and a small team launched Foundry in Flowood in 2018 with a simple vision: design a church for unchurched people that is driven by disciple-making. Since then, Foundry has become a place where anyone can follow Jesus, grow together, and reach one more.

Pastor Elijah is passionate about building organzations that last and blessing the next generation. He wants to see people surrender to Jesus then boldy serve him in this world.

Before launching Foundry, Pastor Elijah earned a Bachelor of Arts from Asbury University and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry.

When Pastor Elijah isn't doing ministry, he's lifting in his garage gym, spending time with friends, or at one of his favorite coffee shops.

Who We Are

Who We Are

At Foundry, our mission is to lead people to live and love like Jesus.

We are committed to the full truth of God's Word, the active power of the Holy Spirit, and the call on every believer to join God's mission to redeem the world.

The result is a church built for unchurched people and driven by disciple-making.

We want everyone here to follow Jesus, grow together, and reach one more.

Ministry Leadership Team

The Ministry Leadership Team leads and equips people to do the ministry of Foundry. From discipling children to helping guests take their next step, they build the ministries that carry out our mission.

Pastoral Leadership Team

The Pastoral Leadership Team shepherds and cares for the people of Foundry. Most of these pastors don't oversee a ministry area; they're here to teach, counsel, pray, and walk with people through whatever they're facing.

Our Beliefs

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons are coequal and co- eternal.

We believe that Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, established the Kingdom of God on earth, died on a cross for all people, atoning for our sins. He rose from the dead on the third day, returned to the Father, and will physically return again one day.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and dwells in people when they place their faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, helps us grow in Christ, and empowers and emboldens us to live our lives for Christ.

We believe that the scriptures were written under the direction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We believe that both the Old and New Testaments reveal to us the will of God and are without error in all that they affirm.

We believe that because of Adam and Eve’s sin, we are all born with a bent towards sin. Consequently, we have all sinned and are sinners. Sin is a willful violation of a law of God and is only forgiven through the sacrifice of Christ.

We believe that because of Jesus’ death on the cross our sins are forgiven through confession of sin and faith in Christ. We are only saved by faith in Jesus, not through any works of our own.

We believe that we are all given the choice between right and wrong and are morally responsible. The grace of God through Jesus Christ is freely given to all people enabling us to believe and to be saved from our sin.

We believe that repentance means a “change in direction.” When we repent, we turn from our way and follow after God’s way.

We believe that when we follow Christ in faith, God pardons us of all our sins, creates in us a new life that is sensitive to the Spirit, and enables us to follow Christ. This is the first step towards being a Jesus- shaped person.

We believe that once we are made new in Christ, we continue to grow into full spiritual maturity. God’s grace, and His Spirit in us, enables us to love God and others with a whole heart, live with victory over sin, and become fully human like God created us to be. This transformation takes place through a process and through key moments.

We believe that the Church was established by Christ and is strengthened by the Holy Spirit to carry out the Great Commission until Christ returns.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and dwells in people when they place their faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, helps us grow in Christ, and empowers and emboldens us to live our lives for Christ.

We believe that communion represents Christ’s death and resurrection. Through communion, Christians participate in the life offered by Christ.

We believe that God can miraculously heal any sickness or ailment and that we should pray for people who need healing.

We believe that Jesus will return to establish an eternal Kingdom and make right the brokenness of this world.

We believe in a future judgment in which every person will be judged according to their deeds and that everlasting life will be granted to all who have faith in Christ.

We believe that marriage was established by God, and that His will is for marriage to be an exclusive lifelong covenant between one man and one woman.

Foundry Church is part of a global family of churches called the Church of the Nazarene, which includes 30,000 churches in 164 world areas. The Church of the Nazarene emphasizes evangelism, holiness, discipleship, and compassion.
